Miramax has acquired the television rights to the Halloween franchise, managed by Trancas International Films and overseen by Malek Akkad. The deal, reported by Deadline, paves the way for a Halloween TV series and opens doors for potential future stories across both film and television.

Confirming earlier reports, WB Discovery has revealed that some of its HBO shows are coming to Netflix. The first of these, the series Insecure, is out now on Netflix.

Variety and Deadline are reporting that some of HBO’s other programming, including the World War II shows Band of Brothers and The Pacific, will come to Netflix in the future alongside the drama Six Feet Under and the sports comedy series Ballers starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
