Butler National Selects Christopher Reedy as COO

The latest appointment announced Thursday comes amid an organizational structure change by the company. As a part of this change, Butler National Corporation established the role of COO. Besides being a leader in the aerospace and professional service industries, Butler National Corporation offers professional services for the growing gaming industry as well. In fact, the company’s subsidiary Butler National Service Corporation secured a contract back in 2008 enabling it to manage the Boot Hill Casino and Resort located in Dodge City, Kansas.

R. Warren Wagoner, Butler National’s chairman of the Board of Directors, said that it is exciting to see Reedy fill in the new COO role. He acknowledged that Reedy has previously performed many of the duties within the COO role within his previous position. At the same time, Wagoner said that Reedy “has a very unique complement of experience and skills that make him well-suited to be the Butler National COO.”

The company’s chairman added that Reedy has a significant experience within the airplane modification industry after more than two decades. But besides aircraft modifications, Wagoner said that Reedy has supported the company’s casino operations and helped with “governmental affairs legislative and regulatory efforts to support of employee relations.” Finally, the chairman acknowledged that Reedy is an invaluable asset to the company.

I am pleased that the Board has appointed Chris Reedy to the COO position. He is deserving of this role in that he has performed many of the COO functions in his previous position.

Reedy Has Decades of Experience with the Company

As noted by the company’s chairman, Reedy has been a part of Butler National for more than two decades. In fact, he first joined the company back in November 2000. Since then, Reedy has held various roles with the company. Back in 2005, he was selected as its secretary but in addition, he has held different roles, including leadership-level positions throughout his extensive tenure with the company.

Currently, Reedy holds a Bachelor’s Science in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University. Additionally, he has a Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. In his new position with Butler National, the company’s operating subsidiaries will report to Reedy. On the other hand, as COO, Reedy will report to the company’s chief executive officer. Last but not least, as COO, he will also be in charge of shareholder relations.

This year's PlayStation Experience keynote presentation saw the company blasting through game announcements left and right; it was like last year, but more so. Sony's presentation was peppy, full of games, and fully fan-oriented.

As in Las Vegas in 2014, so in San Francisco in 2015 — the company has the stage to itself (quite literally, as compared to an event like E3 or Gamescom) so there was no posturing. It was figuratively true, too — at l…
